Anonymous asked: once upon a time there was a girl who skipped rocks on the pond and dreamed happy endings into sad books, but sometimes life is more than happy endings and she found that out the hard way after that boy used her in ways she knew weren't legal or right or deserved. so the world became dark to her, painful and cruel and utterly without benefit, but time moved forward and so did she, and now, she sees shades of gray and blurred lines 'round the clock, and maybe all the pain was worth it to get here, anyways. the end.

Once upon a tainted time,
A wistful girl conjured up
The reverie that she sought.
She met a boy who was
Deceptively charming and
Was viable in her story.

He sung her lullabies built
From lies and poisoned her
Naive soul with a remedy.
He watched her world fall
Further away from the
Dreams she had once made.

Affliction palpitated in her
Heart while tears she had
Shed painted her nights.
Lines and time intertwined
Around her shattered soul,
As she wandered aimlessly.

Happy endings could not be
Found with the wrong boy,
For they were not made from
The nightmare she had lived,
But to find a new place to go,
She floated away with the stars.

She allowed her mistakes to
Awaken the real prince of
Her unfinished tale so that
He could save her from the
Air castle she did not belong
And rewrite their beginning.

She might need to wait for
Years to elapse before he
Would arrive in her world,
But she would soon be free
If she continued walking on
The trail that led to the end.
